Metsol - Slurry

Thermocoat (SEC-PCU) is electrically conducting lubricating paste/material and it’s electrical conductivity increases with rise in temperature. Thermocoat (SEC-PCU) is specially formulated from selected petroleum base/crudes and distilled to make it stable and a superior quality product. Generally all the electrically conducting materials develop higher resistance with the rise in temperature but, Thermocoat (SECPCU) offers negligible change in resistance with rise in temperature, which means, electrical conductivity of Thermocoat SEC-PCU is almost constant with rise in temperature up to 2000 C + 10% (as shown in graph). Its low resistance and arc (electric spark) quenching properties make it better than other available products in the market.

Features:

  • Suitable for application on LV/HV, AC/DC installations (Inside/Outside electrical equipment like isolator switches, circuit breakers, transformer, PCC etc).
  • Prevents oxidation of the coated surface.
  • Provides sufficient lubrication even at elevated temperature.
  • Reduces Heat Losses (I2R Loss by lowering contact resistance).
  • Improves surface heat radiation.
  • Helps in quenching of electrical spark.
  • Provides low resistance to bus bar joint and helps to keep it cool.
  • Prevents pitting on electrical contact surface, keeps the bus bar joint cool.
  • Increases heat emission surface by 60-70% more than normal surface (Heat dissipation will be more).
  • Does not peel-off at high temperature from the coated surface.
  • No effect of Acidic/Alkaline atmosphere on coated surface.
